I’m Andrea and I'm 21 years old born in Dublin, Ireland
As a child, I had multiple creative outlets and always found new ways to express my creativity. One of those ways was through jewellery making. After receiving a jewellery set for my 10th birthday, I would make friendship bracelets and necklaces with beads, and loom bands and rework whatever I can for me and my friends.
From a young age, I had many business ventures and would always find a way to monetize my hobbies whether that was selling handmade crochet headbands, lipgloss and of course jewellery.
I would sell some pieces to my neighbours and mates at school.
In 2019 I started selling on Depop occasionally.
During the lockdown in 2020, more time on hand gave me the chance to enjoy and invest in my craft. I put my focus on doing what I love.
Eventually, I began selling jewellery full-time on Depop and received so much support which encouraged me to turn my hobby into a business. Andrea’s Treasures.
Andrea’s Treasures officially opened for business in May 2021.
I am so happy to be able to do what I love best which is creating unique pieces for people to enjoy. It's truly a dream to turn my childhood hobby into my full-time job. I occasionally do pop ups at local events!
Recently I switched my jewellery style to more timeless pieces with higher quality materials such as stainless steel and gold.
I also brought in more natural materials such as freshwater pearls, gemstones, shells and sea glass as opposed to trendy statement pieces as I want to create jewellery that can be worn and appreciated forever!
I enjoy nature photography, travelling and going on hikes and spending time in nature, here I draw so much inspiration from landscapes, colours and themes.
I truly believe our planet has so much to offer and it is our job to appreciate but also maintain its beauty.
My love for nature is implemented in my brand, by being eco-conscious, using as little plastic as possible, using recycled materials for my packaging, and business cards, and reworking and fixing old pieces.
